baby swap and getting different FP for each adult?

I've read the previous threads on the subject, but wondering if someone can suggest how to do it effectively? Thinking mainly for Epcot so we can ride Soarin and TT with minimal waits for the 6 year old. One of us will have to ride alone the first time, since the 6 year old csnt get FP for both. I'm thinking having DH get TT and ride alone so we get the swap pass. then DS and I get Soarin and DH rerides with DS6 with the swap pass. Because we've got the toddler who can't ride we shouldn't have issues. Right?

For those who have done different FP for some rides, was it difficult to schedule? I can't practice how it will go since we have a package with tickets.

Anyone do this and have advice? I'm still trying to decide how to best use FP and I only have 2 days before our selections!

Thanks :)

This is what we do a lot of the time we book FP. I will book three rides, DH will book three different rides, and we use rider swap for each one. Sometimes if we want multiple rides, we'll both book the same ride and use rider swap twice. We'll sit on two different laptops and look at our options at the same time, then try to coordinate times that work best. The only tricky thing we find is finding something to do with DS while the other person waits. Sometimes the one waiting will take him on another ride, or get him a snack, but it does mean more time waiting around for him.

I'm struggling with balancing "Do ALL the rides!" And sticking together more with FP for us all. This is our first trip and the 6 year old can ride almost everything and has been obsessively watching ride.videos on YouTube. However the toddler can do only the family rides. We've got 2 MK days so.maybe we will use the first day to get 6 different FP so the older one can do all the coasters, then use the second day for more family rides and stick together more.

That's a good idea. We try to do a balance on different days too, some days we do the big rides and we have to find ways to entertain DS, other days we skip all the coasters and just do the family rides. DS is 2, and he's getting to the age where he wants to do EVERYTHING and doesn't like the idea that mommy or daddy get to go rides that he's too small for. I'm also pregnant so that's put a stop to using rider swap for right now because I can't ride the fun stuff!

We did that exact thing and it worked out great. Not hard to schedule (I was online at 60 days out, but not at midnight or anything) Both Living Seas and Imagination Pavilion are great places to hang out with the baby while the older folks ride Soarin, without feeling like you're making the 2 year old just kill time. And my 3 year old could have spent HOURS playing in the cars at the exit to test track.

Have fun!
