We've tried to keep things as simple as possible for our daughter's first trip without us (she's 24 and I know she's capable, but I still worry ). They'll be staying entirely onsite and we've booked ME so they won't need to hire a car.

They're going to be in a studio at SSR. Can they get an electric kettle from housekeeping for making up their son's bottles? If not, what suggestions can you make? Heat water in the bottles in the microwave? Are nappies and baby formula available in the resort shops? It's not something I've ever needed to consider, so I don't have a clue! :)

In a studio they will have a microwave so that is an option. They could also get a small baby bottle warmer (plugs in to an outlet and heats one bottle at a time) from some place like Target, Babies R Us, etc. Diapers and wipes are available at the resort stores but they are pricey. These items are also available in the Baby Care Centers in the theme parks (absolutely wonderful CMs and centers). There are a few grocery delivery companies in the Orlando area so if they need other supplies (i.e. water, drinks, snacks, etc.) it might be worth it to check into that and have supplies delivered.

Thanks for you prompt response, LilGMom. A visit to a supermarket isn't going to be a possibility and I'm trying to avoid the grocery delivery option if at all possible. If that's the only choice, though, I need to get on with it, hence the question. As long as nappies are available at the resort store, then paying through the nose isn't the end of the world. Does anyone know if formula milk is sold onsite? If not, it might be easier for them to take it with them in their checked luggage.

As far as I can remember, there's been a folding crib in the closet of every type of DVC unit we've ever rented. Is that right, or is my memory playing tricks on me? Will they need to request one? Presumably bedding is supplied? Silly question, I'm sure, but I don't ever remember seeing any.

there's a crib in each closet(as well as hover/ironing board)if not there just ring front desk or house keeping,As for the formula milk would it not be better to pack your own,i recall ours would only drink one type so we had to take it with us

There is a pack-n-play in the closet but I believe (not 100% sure) that an actual crib can be made available if requested and the resort has one. In our experience there has usually been a pack-n-play sheet in the PNP, there was one time when there was not and the resort provided extra sheets (not the best option since those can't be made to fit snug). I always packed a PNP sheet just in case. I believe that the resorts only sell one type of formula and for some reason I want to say it is either Enfamil or the Nestle brand. Personally I'd pack my own formula just because I'd hate to possibly try out a new formula on my baby only to have my baby either not like it or not agree with it.

No question is silly. ;)

For baby bedding all that we got provided was the bottom sheet, the only option they gave us was a bed sheet folded. Not ideal as baby can get tangled up in them. I would suggest bringing your own bedding for the pack n play

You can phone mousekeeping and request a different crib. It is the same size as the pack and play but is metal and has a mattress (very hard and uncomfy, my son wasn't best pleased with it) and they give you a fitted sheet for it. There was a pack and play in the closet, but unless I was being totally daft I could not see a mattress for the life of me! :confused3

No UK formula is sold out there so bringing your own would be best. We declared it at customers, they x-rayed our bags and it wasn't a problem at all.

Nappies? I brought loads of nappies and swim nappies with me, meant pleanty of extra packing space for the way home! We stayed in SSR and there were nappies, basic medicines etc in the gift shop but the prices were crazy imho.
