We will be at BLT in June and are trying to plan an adult night out. Has anyone used the baby sitter service while at WDW? Any feedback, thoughts or advice would be great. Thanks!

We had used Kids Nite Out several years while at Boardwalk before DS was potty trained and able to go to the Disney Kids Clubs. We liked them just fine. But now that the kids are older, they prefer going to the kids clubs.

okay, my kids are potty trained so that may be a good option. What is that exactly? If it is the room I am thinking of at BLT I thought they said that you cannot leave the building or something like that.

The kids clubs are sort of like the ones on the Disney ships. They have programming staff there, dinner is offered (included as well I think), they have crafts, video games, toys and movies. We've used the one at GF which I believe is closed now and the one at Poly, which maybe be closed for renovation now :/. Beach Club has one and I believe AK, maybe WL but I think that one may have closed too. The prices I felt were comparable, somewhere around $12 per kid, per hour.
At the club they give you a pager in case something happens as well as taking you cell number. DS is a peanut/tree nut allergy and we've never had an issue there.
I think with the babysitter services, they would take them to the parks if you wanted but I think you have to pay for the sitter's admission. And they service won't give baths.

Thanks, I'll look into that!

We have used Fairy Godmothers babysitting service many times. The sitters will feed and bathe the children if you wish. They bring a bag a tricks with them. We have requested the same sitter on subsequent trips. We are a group of 4 families and have never had any complaints. We like the kids can go to bed before we get home.

If you have younger kids (esp infants), you can find sitters on sittercity or care. We found our regular sitter on Sittercity; she has park passes and her husband works for Disney. She used to work at Disney in one of the kids clubs. She is wonderful and we use her on every trip. She is not cheap ($20) but she cared for our 1 year old twins very well and handled issues like maintenance stopping in to fix a sink unannounced (she got them to leave as it was bedtime).

Another vote for Fairy Godmothers service. We used them often when our kids were younger and had wonderful experiences each time.

Would you mind telling me the name of the sitter you request? I've scheduled Fairy Godmothers for next month and am a little nervous about it. I would love to have the name of a trusted person to request. Thanks so much!

That post was in April, so things may have changed. At least it was this year...I've seen threads resurrected from 10 years past and people don't realize they aren't offering current information.
