So my friends & I have been looking for decorations our stores have nothing. Our Dollar store has a few things, but ehhh..not really anything that was of interest to any of us.

Has anyone bought them online and found a good deal? Or a good site to get them on?

Thanks.

Have you thought about making your own decorations? Much cheaper & you can find ideas online. I was impressed with the way the Duggars cheaply decorated their house for Anna's Baby Shower.

For my sister's baby shower, I got a bunch of baby and childhood pics of her and her DH and had them blown up and put them up around the room. Also got some cheapie streamers, etc, but the baby pics were a huge hit!

Make a clothes line. Get some rope and use some clothes pins and hang baby clothes on it. I got a cheap pack of colorful baby socks and cheap onesies and hung them on the line and draped it on one of our walls, it was darling. Then I just got pink and white carnations and put them in vases throughout the house.

At the end of the party I took the clothes off the line and let the mom-to-be take then home. Have fun! There are lots of creative ways to decorate without buying the expensive party store stuff.

I love the baby clothes line idea!!! Will have to remember that one for next time I throw a baby shower!!

I have done this as well. I love that the decorations are usable for the new mom.

With this theme, I also set out clear bowls with blue bubbly water and floated rubber ducks in the bowls. This kind of finished out the "laundry" theme.

For table decorations I bought very small gift bags that were baby themed from Big Lots. I put a baggie in it and filled with Chex Mix I made ( you could buy it). People loved it as it gave them something to snack on before we ate and when we were opening gifts. Said it was cute and a good idea too.

At my sister-in-law's baby shower, we put a baby book at each table, (e.g. Mother Goose), and asked each guest to write a message to the baby on the inside cover and sign it. It was cute.

Oh, and I love the idea of the clothes line with the baby clothes - adorable!
