Has anyone ever had any problems with their baby's passport photo not looking anything like them (babies change so quickly!). The reason I ask is because we are due to fly out to Orlando in 4 weeks time with our son, who will be 11 months...but his passport photo was taken at 2 months old and now looks nothing like him! His eyes look brown on the photo, whereas they are really bright blue in real life and his hair also looks brown, whereas it is strawberry blonde!!!

Am I likely to have problems in the US because of this??? Should I get the photo changed now....will I have time??? Arrrghhh! Help please!!!

We took our daughter when she was 10 months old and again when she was 3, both times her passport photo was of her at 3 months old so obviously she looked completely different. We had no problems at all.

Whew! Thank you so much!!! I just rang the passport office and they said I could change the photo but it would cost me £71 as it is so close to the date....thanks for putting my mind at ease and saving me a whole load of money!

Hi

My daughter has been flting non stop since she was 6 months, and neber had any problems. SDhe went to the states when 18 months and that was ok, and were off to Orlando in may when she will be nearly 4 still with the baby passport, so Ill let you know if we have any problems.

My youngest is 6 months in her passport and the older one is 6 years. They are now 5 and 11 so you can imagine that neither of them looks anything like their photo. They have travelled abroad at least twice a year every year since having them and have never had any problems. Just in the process of having to renew them now as they expire next month and it’s really amazing the difference, in fact its such a difference you have to have the form countersigned and the photo certified.

Hi,
We just took our 2 yr old to Orlando on a passport that was done when he was a few weeks old and we had no problems !!
I was so worried before we went and we were told by the passport office that the photo could not be changed until the passport was up for renawal. All i can say is our little man looked nothing like his passport and the officials did not bat an eyelid.
Hope that helps .

DD, now 6, had her first passport photo taken when she was around 3 months old.
The only thing that happened when we took her to Florida, when she was 3, was that the customs official asked her to point out her Mum and Dad :goodvibes
She now has a new 5 and a half year old photo but still misses her baby one ;)
