I have a son that will be 12 months old when we wanted to take a 3 day cruise. Do you think that is too young and do I run the risk of him being sea sick the entire time? Does anyone have any advise???

We had an 8 month old on a 3 day cruise, and he had a blast. He was actually easier than my then 3 1/2 yo. We had extrememly rocky seas our first night(lots of people sick all over the place), but it didnt affect the baby at all. The only thing that would prevent me from taking a baby now is that now they arent allowed in the pool and that is where we spent a lot of time. But if that doesnt matter to you, then go for it!

We just got back from the 4 day Wonder (5/4/03). We took all three of our children (ages:5, 2 1/2, 1). Our 1 year old was quite difficult on the trip....especially the first night. She did fine during the breakfasts and lunches, but at dinner time, she was a TERROR. She also wasn't fond of sleeping in the pack 'n play. Every child is different, so I don't mean to scare you. I wish we would have waited another 2-3 years to go.

We just got off the Wonder and my 2 yo went to the nursery for a few hours each night so we could have some grown up time. I cannot say enough good things about the staff in Flonders. They were absolutely wonderful. I have never left her with strangers before and she felt perfectly comfortable with them from day one. My 5 yo went to the club and so did my niece. It was trip enjoyed by all. Last year when my daughter was 10 months we cruised with her and it was quite difficult as Norwegian cancelled thier babysitting services just before our cruise, so she was with us the whole time and dinners were very hard as it is close to bedtime. But we made the best of it. I suggest trying to use the nursery for a few hours each day to give you a break.

But remember you know your child best, try to stick to her routines and have a great time.
