I love the name Sadie If I had a girl (and didn't have a friend who named her daughter Sadie) that would have been her name. But I have 3 boys and I'm SO done, so no Sadie for me
I would like this list a lot more if these names ended with a "y" instead of an "ie". The only name I like the way you spelled on this list is Sadie, and I absolutely hate Mollie in any way that it is spelled.
Add, the President of the United States of America after the names you like(plus your last name) and see which sounds best. To me, they all seem like nicknames and not real first names. Can you see a 60 yr old lady named any of these?
Shelbie is nice........but I don't like Sidnie or Sydnie for a girl..........to me
Sidney, or however you wish to spell it is a boys name. As for Sadie......all I can hear is the song Sadie the cleaning lady.
Sorry, but that's just me. I like actual girls names for girls and boys names for boys....not bi sexual names.
Good luck tho and I hope you find something you really like soon.
As AllyBri said Meggie is a nice girls name...........I love it
Just one more thing to consider when choosing the name.......and I'm not saying you will do or have done this. But try to remember that little girls grow up in women, so try to find a name that will grow with her. I quite like Emilie and that will grow with her. Hope you find something you all like real soon and that it will go with your other DD's names
What about Ellie or Tillie.......I know a lady by the name of Tilly and quite like it. Of course there is Millie too, Pollie, prefer that with a Y tho. Sallie........bit different to the y ending but not too bad. Willie.......it's short for Whilimena (I do not like the full name, but Wilie is ok)
Amie, Baillie (I know a little girl Baillie) Callie, Hollie, Jeanie, Kellie, Leslie, Meggie, Nellie, Queenie
I like I like Macie the best. I also don't like the "ie" ending for a given name (it's OK for a nick-name). They are great "little girl" names, but lousy names for a 40 year old woman. Your kids will also spend their entire lives correcting the spelling of their names.
Given that you won't change you mind on the spelling, my choices are in no order:
Well I have an Allison we call Allie so I can be on board with the -ie thing but I do prefer it as a nickname. I like that Allie has a more "grown up" name that she can use when she is older if she likes.
Of the ones you have listed I like Marcie and Sadie.
How's about Marniethat is a proper name and proper spelling.
I have a name that is unusual and hard for people to spell. I am now in my late 40's and I'm so sick of having to spell and pronounce it for people.
There are lots of cute little girls names, but always keep in mind that little girls grow into women and a 40-50 year old woman wouldn't want to be lumbered with a cute little girls name..............they'd proabably change it or go by their middle name if it was a proper name.
So I have to ask - Maci is that your real name? Or is it a nickname? And are you an adult yet & still like your name? Cause I don't think you're supposed to like this name when you get older 'cause it's too cutesy..... HA HA!!
We really like the name dh likes it - but it's dd#1 I've got to convince right now - & we have NO IDEA about middle names yet.....but someone posted PAige somewhere & I like that as a middle name....
