Is anyone else getting very affected by this story of the mom and baby who were shot and killed? I am just so saddened by this story for some reason, perhaps it's all the family photos of Baby Lillian on her first Halloween, First Christmas, etc.....

Usually I try and step back from news stories, but this one I can't seem to be able to do it, I started crying again last night just wondering who could ever shoot and kill a baby (and mom) and leave them for dead?

May God bless their souls and may justice be served to whomever is responsible for this horrible crime.

I do not know if it is a national story. I think that the husband should be brought back and also I am not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If your wife and child are killed you come back to at least bury them.

Yes-it's affected me deeply-so heartbreaking! I live less than 45 min. from where it happened I just think it's all too suspicious about how the husband took off to England and is most likely not coming back for the funerals-how much more guilty can one person look?!?!?!?

Can't the police tell what time the husband got on the plane? Not much of an alibi if the time frame isn't right. Very sad story. Baby was adorable.

I felt bad until I started hearing that they were running a get rich scheme on ebay dealing with internet porn sites. I don't know, the pictures might be of a smiling family but there are definitely some dark secrets to be shed there.

I do feel bad for the poor innocent child however, I am reserving my sorrow on the mother still, this story still has to play out IMO.

I think it's an absolute sin. The husband is in England still apparently with his parents and lawyer. I have a HUGE problem. Now the minute you heard something about your family would you no move heck or highwater to come back. He doesn't seem to be in any hurry. I think he has a hand in this.

im sorry but the husband seems awfully guilty
leaving around the time of death, not telling anyone where he was going
he should be brought back here
the obits made no mention of him so that should say something about how her family feels

This story has saddened me beyond belief. I cannot understand how anyone can shoot a 9 month old baby.

Hopkinton is only 2 towns over and my DH works there.

We live very close to this town.

My belief is these people were into something very deep.
Possibly is revenge for something the husband did-
What other reason is he hiding in UK?
Not wanting to come back to burry his family?

I live about 1/2 hour from there and it is all over our news. DD, 8, was watching tv with me today and I kept flipping the channels to see something else. She wanted to know what happened to the cute baby...

Not only did that "person" shoot a little baby, a shot in the stomach is an extremely painful way to die (per the Federal Protective Service guys I know).
I just find it hard to wrap my brain around a parent killing a child; how can people not love their kids? Depraved and amoral is the only way I can think of them. I hope justice prevails in this case.

I heard talk today that the reason he's not coming to the funeral is he will be arrested. If he stays away they will have trouble getting him back here for prosecution. Can anyone comment on the legalities of this?

My friend told me England doesn't extradite to countries where you will face the DP for your crime. I am not sure this is the absolute truth maybe some of our UK posters would know.

MA doesn't have the death penalty, so I don't know if that can still be the reason. It is all so sad, like someone else posted, I keep wondering how someone could shoot a baby? Cruel and senseless. As soon as I heard that the husband already knew about the deaths when the police contacted him I knew it was suspicious. Wouldn't anyone not involved have rushed back immediately?
Today I read that he met with police who flew to London but wouldn't answer any questions. NOT looking innocent to me!

I could have sworn I heard that neither one of them worked outside of the house, but they moved into a new house a week prior to the murders. Who can get approved for a new house without a job? Unless they're just wealthy, it doesn't make much sense.
