Baby Jogger City Mini???

Do you have to do anything special when you gate check this stroller? I've never gate checked this style. TIA

We don't have that exact stroller, but our jogging stroller was gate checked without problem, or additional cost.

Same here. I did bungie ours closed since it doesn't have a locking mechanism to keep it folded. I also didn't want the rubber handles to get torn or damaged (this happened to another stroller we had) so I wrapped a layer of bubble wrap (found at the Dollar Tree) to protect it. Taped on with 3M hand-tearable packing tape. We have found the packing tape and extra bubble wrap to come in handy a few times for other things on trips too.

$44.95 they sell a City Mini carry bag. DH & I both agreed well worth the money. I wanted to protect the stroller as much as possible. I have seen alot of damaged and dirty strollers that were not protected.

BE CAREFUL!

We gate checked our double jogger and got it back with a wheel that bent and broke. I am ALMOST positive they dropped it off the conveyor belt either loading or unloading the plane given the nature of how it was broken.

But they insisted it was cargo shifting and it was not covered under their insurance. We checked at the gate, main desk for the airline, and called. So we were out an expensive stroller and had fun trying to lug it around the airport. I was so ticked off.

I am never bringing a big or expensive stroller on an airplane again. Too risky.

We did however rent a Baby Jogger City Mini double from Orlandostrollerrentals.com and LOVED it.
