What baby cd's would you recommend? My daughter is 4 months old and it wasn't until recently that I was able to afford a cd player for her. I was off work for three months. I have an Einstein cd and she loves it. Any suggestions on other cd's would be great! Thanks! :sunny:

Charlotte Diamond - "Ten Carrot Diamond"
My DD12 still likes to sing some of the songs and she hasn't had the CD since preschool. Enjoy singing with your baby!!

not really a baby cd, but my girls both loved The Carpenters when they were babies! I think that Karen Carpenter has a very soothing voice. :thumbsup2

I had a bunch of baby cds, but we always ended up playing regular ones that they enjoyed.

I highly recommend the Disney Princess Lullaby CD. Instrumental princess music, just beautiful. My DD has been listening to this one since birth.

My boy loves Broadway musicals - he prefers music with words. Right now, our CD player has Phantom, Secret Garden and Godspell in it.

You don't have to buy "baby" CDs - just a classical music compliation would be nice.

Enya. Very soothing for parents and babies.

DS6 loves '80s music! Past favorites include Elton John, Journey and currently Billy Joel. Pretty funny listening to him sing along with what he THINKS the words are, and do the little intonations and growls just like the original.

My Mom did this with us (only it way wasn't CDs! :teeth: ) & I could swear it lead to an appreciation of classical music! She would play it as a naptime/bedtime ritual. I also did this with DS & he has an appreciation of classical music, also.

The best part about the classicals is that you can usually borrow CDs from the library, get an idea of which orchestras, arrangements, composers & production values you like, then begin to compile a small collection.
Fantasia has a soundtrack :thumbsup2

For play time there are Sousa marches, Peter & the Wolf etc

My kids are no longer babies, but *I* still listen to the Kenny Loggins kids' CDs. My favorite is Return to Pooh Corner:

BTW, he wrote the song "Return to Pooh Corner" when he was a high school senior supposed to be studying for finals. What a goodbye to childhood!

Love all those mentioned and also highly recommend Baby Einstein, Bach, Mozart, etc. Our DGChildren grew up with these CD's & DVD's and still love them!! :goodvibes

We play Heigh-Ho Mozart and Bibbidi Bobbidi Bach for our DD3month. They are both all the Disney favorites done in the style of classical composers. So it's all instrumental music. I wouldn't be surprised if she recognized most of the music while we are down there and not no where she learned it from.

I teach a infant/ toddler class and we really enjoy Toddler and Infant by Sara Hickman...
I also really enjoy Martha stewart lullabies and Disney Wishes..
Good Luck! :cool1:

We played the Disney Lullaby CD for DD4 every night the first 2 years of her life. It still makes me cry to think about it. We registered for it at Target and registered for a new one for our son who will be here in a few weeks. Very sweet CD...the Princess lullaby CD is great also...DD got that for Christmas this past year.
