what exactly is the baby care center? Do you buy wipes/diapers wax there or do they just have them there to use? Is there a place to sit and rest with a 3 year old? Any one have pictures or real life experience using it? Are there cast members in there or just open room to breastfeed and change diapers?? Thanks so much.

Cast member in there selling (if needed) all sorts of baby needs. Plenty of areas for resting and changing, including paper coverings for over the changing tables. Prices are a bit higher than you would think...but when you need it, you need it. Better than changing little ones in the restrooms.

They don't give supplies away for free. You have to pay for them and the prices are jacked up a bit. They have attendants and different spaces for different needs.

We've used the ones at MK and Epcot before. I don't remember much about the one in Epcot as it was just a quick diaper change. The one in MK has a small kitchen area to heat up baby food or formula. That was where the CM was if you wanted to buy anything. There were private breastfeeding rooms with rocking chairs. Then there was another room that had highchairs, small toys and the TV. The have restrooms that have smaller potties for little ones.

They are lovely places. They are generally located neat the first aid areas, and have a secluded peaceful room to breastfeed in with rockers. There is an area for older kids (toddlers) to play it with a tv while mom may be bf, getting medical care, or whatever, and baby supplies that are priced a little higher than normal. But, if you forget your supplies, it's nice knowing that you can get supplies in the park.
MK's is nice, if a little dated and located at the First Aid center by Crystal Palace. Epcot's is by the old Odessys place by Mexico. It's bigger, but a little sterile looking. The BF rooms are bigger. DHS is the smallest and near guest relations/First aid in the front of the park. BF area is very small, if I remember correctly. The AK is the nicest one of all! It's near the front area, on the left hand side side of the park and before the old camp Mickey Minnie. It's very open, and has great BF area.

You have to leave strollers outside, and there are cm there to assist you. They are very nice, helpful, and supportive. They are perfect places to take breaks and are more than just a diaper change area - they are fully functional centers that are supportive of moms and baby needs. I love them!

I have some pics of the Baby Care Center at AK here.

They are fantastic. I used all 4, far more than I thought I would. Each offers a nice spot to cool off, change and feed babies, and just get away from it all.

Thank you so much for sharing! I appreciate seeing pictures of the baby care center. I enjoyed your "trip report". It's nice to see the rocking chairs are padded! I'm definitely going to take advantage of the baby care centers when i take DS (1) in December!

How old was your DS on that trip? What other rides, besides the safari, could your DS get on in AK?

He was 10 weeks old - we did the Safari, It's tough to be a Bug, and Festival of the Lion King (plus dinosaur and everest without him). It was a really hot day so we didn't stay long! We're going again in September and he'll be 13 months. Hopefully this trip goes as smooth as the last one - he was a great traveler and we had an amazing time.

The baby care centers are really nice.

They are air conditioned and quiet. A nice place to wind down and take a break.

They do have diapers and wipes available for purchase.

The nursing rooms have comfortable rocking chairs and are low lit.

We're bringing our will-be 14-month old in December. I'd be very interested to hear how your trip goes! Will you blog about that one too?

Ak triceratops spin is also a big hit with my boy. The line never seems bad and he loves it!!

Sorry it was a little ot - Ak is his favorite park. Don't forget to go to the petting area at Rafiki's.

I'm likely going to, but the second week won't be a live blog this time - as we're on the cruise and I don't want to pay for internet!
