Baby Booted from Burger King Over Bare Feet

Glad we can agree to disagree :)

I think we definitely do not agree on kids and clothing. I hate all the "cutsie" clothing out for babies. So I have a feeling all you here would hate the clothing I picked for mine. Mine always wore adult like clothing. In fact to the point where mine had baby versions of the same clothing the adults owned :rotfl:

It's a personal preference. For the record again kicking them out is dumb and over the top. I can't believe that I forgot that in my first two posts :headache:

I went to WDW with my son, DIL and grandson who was about 6 months at the time and we got turned away at the Peter Pan ride because my grandson didn't have shoes on.
I got a pair of socks from the stroller and the kid still wouldn't let us on, he said "shoes only"
So I drove over to Walmart and bought him the tiniest pair of sandles I could find and although he cried every time I put them on he wore them at the parks.
Some people get power hungry and love to enforce the silliest rules.

We've never been turned away on any rides and my babies--well two of them went as young as 4 months and 6 or so weeks. Neither wore socks (too hot) or shoes adn we had no issues.

It seems to me that workers are on a power trip of stupidity.

If I had an infant and that happened, I would be seeing a manager and not traipsing to walmart to appease idiots. But only b/c I know we've done it before without issue.

I thought of this thread today. There was a man with a baby in Panera- the man had no shoes on and his feet were filthy! Thankfully management talked to him and asked him to either wear shoes or sit on a patio. IF they had not I would have turned around and walked out. It was gross.

Maybe the BK manager has stock in Stride Rite.

Honestly, the thought that anyone would be offended by a baby out in public without shoes on has never crossed my mind. And, I can't understand how it is a health or safety issue either.

Of course, if a baby, or anyone else for that matter, is walking around in public places, then yes, they should have shoes on their feet. An infant in a stroller, car seat, baby carrier or being carried in someone's arms? Not so much. I just don't see the need for shoes. Personally, I think babies are adorable with their little, pudgy feet catching the breeze. I'm sure they're much more comfortable that way, too.:)

This story is another case demonstrating a lack of common sense.:sad2:

Keep in mind, too, that none of us were in that Burger King. We don't actually know what went on, and the media is no one's friend. We cannot believe much that we read in the news, especially this type of report.

For all we know, the "baby" may've been not an infant but a toddler. For all we know, the family may've been doing something else to get themselves kicked out. The media does love to take a real problem, turn it around and make it look like something it isn't.

Not dealing this this situation at all: I have several times seen the media blow things majorly out of proportion, make things look as if people were behaving very, very badly and deserving of serious punishment, when in actuality the situation was quite minor. Without knowing for certain, I wouldn't get too upset about it.
