We just returned from a long weekend at the BWV. This was our first trip to our home resort and we were not disappointed! It was also our first trip as a family of 5, my baby is 5mo (big kids are 3 and 6). We had a boardwalk view 2BR on the second floor. It was awesome. We had a clean bright room with a gorgeous view. We all loved the boardwalk atmosphere everywhere. And since we had a baby with us, I was surprised and THRILLED to discover the size of the master closet!
Had I known we could fit the port-a-crib (slightly larger than a pack n play) in the closet I would have been fine with the 1BR. But it was really really nice to put the big kids in bed and have the living room to ourselves.
There is a sliding door to that closet and it was easy to put the noisemaker directly under the crib with it plugged into the bathroom outlet. The big kids made noise in the living room and the studio side and she still slept well. She even napped for 2hrs each afternoon while one of us to the big kids to the pool. (the weather was beautiful this weekend!)
The other obvious advantage of the BWV with a baby is location! It was so nice to walk to Epcot each afternoon after nap/pool time. I took my 6yo to go ride rides at night, we walked back after the fireworks and she was still in bed before 10. One night I was brave and took the baby, we left at 6:50, walked from our room to Maelstrom and even with a 30 min wait to ride (and extra magic hour crowds!) I had both back in the room by 8pm.
There was some noise from the boardwalk on the 2nd floor, but nothing that bothered the baby or any of us. My big kids liked watching the fireworks and the performers from the window/balcony.
We had a great trip and can't wait to go back to the BWV
