I think this would be the highlight of MY trip, but what about my little ones? Should I wait a few years? Would taking a 10 month old and a 2 year old be a nightmare? My worry is the little ones get tired and cranky and DH and I have to leave early, wasting the hefty entrance fee.

Anyone else taken babies this young to DC? Thanks!

I think I would wait. I am not one for having a baby out in the sun for long periods of time. No matter how much sunscreen, umbrellas, clothing, etc. to cover them up, mine would still burn in just a short time. Because of the angle the sun hits ya here in Florida , burning is easier-even for people who never burn up north.

I think I would opt for just Sea World with kids that young.

I would wait until they are older -- an d I am one that took my DD everywhere as an infant. Think about it like the beach...are they able to spend 5-8 hours at the beach without any problem? Also remember, just like the above poster stated, there are umbrellas but it is basically wide open and the sun is very strong and, outside of the bathrooms and the lobby building, there really isn't anything that is build to keep sun out entirely.
