Oh no worries! And I'd feel the exact same way even if we had bought a place. I'm SO burnt out on moving.

But yes, I really do like the new place. I'm excited to have a yard again (there's a yard here at our apt. but it's all maintained for us and I can't do anything out there, like flowers or the like). My DH gets an awesome shed/barn with a work bench already in place (he's a tinkerer and has no place here for that, either). So we're super excited to have our "own" space again. The landlords are really nice and basically "it's your place, do what you like" kind of people.

I'll be excited to be in the new place, but not looking forward to the process of getting there!!

I hear you, went from an apt with a large yard, but the upstairs neighbors,UGH! We live in a halfplex , much bigger wirh a yard and only 160 more than our apt rent.... So I am happy for you1

Me too! Now i got "Livin' on a prayer" running through my head! Saw them in concert a few times..... once was so close to stage my ears buzzed for three days.... now i wonder why my hearing is bad.

Ok..... i had a crummy day. Hoping tomorrrow is better.

Today my kids started school again... the chaos returns! I already sent my dd to school at the wrong time. She got on bus went to school and called me to pick her up since they had a delayed opening for the underclassman orientation. I cant keep it straight. All four of them are in four different places. Swim practice starts tomorrow and volleyball on thursday... my ds has been doing football..... i dont know which way i m going. My dh will have to step it up this year. Help more.

I also found out my youngest ds teacher is resigning from day care because she just had
a baby and she doesnt have anyone to watch her son. She cant afford to keep the baby at our center so she has to leave. It makes me angry because our baby wing is not full so if they let her keep the baby there she is not taking a spot away from a paying customer. They say its against policy. I think its stupid. She is by far the best.. (and i should know....i cant tell you how many mediocre teachers i have seen come and go over the last 14 years!) You think they could make an exception. I am thinking of leaving if they dont keep her.

Then i found out the airlines cancelled my return flight from vegas...so now we need to rebook... but we cant seem to get the times we want. We are trying different airports.nonstops... but nothing seems to be good... now we might have to add another day which we didnt want to do. Ugh!


Oh...and they also charged my credit card for my room... even though the trip isnt for a few months.... usually theyjust take your card to hold the ressie.. but they chatged one night... not that its going to kill me.. but now i have to pay and wait for reimbursement until after i get back.

daisyyy, just....wow. You sure do have your hands full!! In that respect I am grateful that my kids are not all into team or group things. The oldest is a BMX rider and just does his own thing (sometimes with friends, but I'm not driving him all over, all the time). The middle is the musician and spends 99.9% of his time playing guitar in his room. Only the youngest has been into some sports and such, so he's the only one I'm really having to keep track of his schedule. That's enough!!! He's not doing any sports this fall, thank goodness....there are all sorts of new things to try in the middle school and he wanted to keep his options open. Right now he's interested in Track and Field and also wants to take saxophone lessons!

TGIW. Sometimes I think shorter weeks are harder than the regular ones. SO tired this morning. DS15 went back to high school today and actually got up ok and on time. Let's hope that lasts...... It was cute, though, because DS10 has a friend walk here, then they walk to the middle school together, and they walk right by the HS bus stop....so DS15 left with them and they all walked that far together. It was like watching a shepherd with two sheep!

Time for more coffee......

I agree. Shorter weeks are harder than the regular ones. I have a regular Tuesday night meeting, which I missed last night because my addled brain kept telling me that yesterday was the first day of the work week, so it must be Monday!

I work from home, so I didn't have co-workers chatting about their extra day off.

Busy Busy Busy

That really stinks about the daycare lady. She doesn't make enough $ for her own child to attend and I take it they won't give her a discount. They would rather lose a great provider.

I understand about not getting the flight times you want. There is very little choice from my small airport so unwanted flight time is the norm. I'm guessing Vegas is a work related trip since you will be getting reimbursed. Will you have time for fun?
