Babies on rides?

This may sound like a silly question, but are there any rides that are on Disney's site that say "For Everyone" that we won't be able to ride all together as family, due to the fact our youngest will be under 1?

We'll be wearing a baby carrier and/or pushing a stroller for the days at the parks, so I guess we'd need to put those items somewhere while riding too, if baby is with coming with us. I know about rider switch now so I will utilize this with my husband for the rides we can't all ride!

Thanks! :)

Diaper bags get left on the strollers. Strollers go in designated parking areas; some are not directly by your ride.

When leaving food in the stroller, apparently squirrels and birds like to snack at Disney, too, so bring along something to keep it secure.

Are you doing all this planning while pregnant? :)

Will it be three of you or do you have any older kids? If it’s two adults and a baby, you should be able to all sit together on the rides. Baby goes on your lap or in the carrier, depending on if there’s a lap bar.

If you leave the diaper bag in the stroller, make sure you don’t leave your wallet, phone, etc. in the bag. You can usually stash a backpack by your feet on most rides if you’d rather not leave a bag unattended.

You may take the baby on any rides without a height restriction. As to whether you can "ride all together" depends on the size of your party and the ride vehicles at various attractions. Some seat just 2, others can fit a family of 4 with young children on one bench seat.

Ooh good too about the squirrels/birds. I wouldn't have thought of that! Yes I am, we have three other kids I've been wanting to take to WDW for a while :)

It'll be six of us (we have three older kids). That's good to know about a backpack - that's what we use. Thanks!

Ok that makes sense! Thanks!

As you keep posting questions, it’s like watching the development of a Disney trip from scratch. I remembered your stating four kids under the age of 6 and the trip being next year. When you mentioned a baby under 1 yo, figured it, like your trip, was still in development. I’m imaging twins in the middle or a lot of months pregnant.

This will interesting to see how it all plays out. Juggling four kids on rides. Having a great time.

I really didn't know what I was doing initially, so this board (recommended to me by a friend) has been invaluable - I'm sure we'll have a much smoother trip with all the knowledge I've learned here (and am still learning)!

I'll have to report back after our trip to tell you all how it went. :)

for same reason do not leave sippy cups on a stroller tray have seen the squirrels licking top of cup. they seem to know the stroller parking areas. most rides you park stroller before getting in line would plan on youngest in carrier for at least line. the one ride I would worry about that does not have a height requirement is Toy Story Mania as it is very jerky but scary as such. it was the one ride my daughter wished she had taken her infant daughter on

I wouldn't have thought about the sippy cups, thanks for that tip. And I haven't heard of Toy Story Mania yet, I'll keep that in mind!!

If you can’t stash it by your feet, I would where mine on the front of my body on the ride instead of the back for comfort on the ride- I.e. you can rest your back against the back rest.

On the Disney website it says height restrictions when you click on the attraction. If there is none, a baby can ride. FYI height restrictions do not determine the appropriateness for age. Dinosaur and Tough to be a Bug are not for the weak. Read the descriptions, and if they say scary, they mean scary and not “Disney scary” (e.g. Haunted Mansion is not scary in the description).

I'll note those as scary rides, thank you! I checked out the website. Since our kids haven't done theme parks before and don't watch a lot of movies (they know & love Disney primarily through books), we'll probably be sticking to the more gentle rides like the carousel, It's a Small world, Dumbo, etc.
