We will have a 2.5 month old on our trip to Disney next month. I know there are a ton of rides she can go on, but I feel more secure with her in her Ergo. Are there any restrictions about which rides she can/can't go on in the carrier? Thanks.

I carried my kids in the bijorn. It works great. And no you do not need to take them out on any ride, that you can go on.
Enjoy, I had a last with my babies at Disneyland.

Well I have never gone to the parks with a little one (my youngest was 3 her first visit) but I have seen CM's ask / tell a guest to have the child sitting on the seat.

I had my 2.5 month old in the carrier on every ride that didn't have a height restriction. They only require an infant that can hold up their head to sit in the seat. You should have no problems.

ill be in the parks on monday with a one month old so ill report back on my experiance with him and the rides

Thank you so much!! I'm going with my three month old soon and would love to hear how it goes :)

We had my then 5 month old nephew with us last year. He was in the carrier on almost everything he was allowed to go on. Astro Orbiter wouldn't let us board with him in the carrier. I will say that I can't remember if he had to be facing out or not on lap bar rides. I'm thinking he did need to, but not 100 percent sure.

I have a 4.5 month old and will be in the parks Saturday. Planning to keep him in the carrier as much as possible!

We had to have the babies (twins) facing forward. One baby was in the borjn, so not a big deal, but I had the other one in a ring sling. It was hard to hold him facing forward at 2 months old as he wasn't really holding his head up.

I'll be honest and say, once the ride car pulled away from the station, I turned him back into a cradle position (I had removed him from the carrier). His head flopping forward seemed more dangerous to me.

I loved my Ergo for disneyland, once I got one. I even wore my two-year-old twins at the same time in two of them, one on front and one on back!

I'm new but excited to hear I can wear my son on most everything. He is 5 months.

That's right that's the only ride I had to take my then 2.5 month old out and have her face forward, every other ride she was in the carrier, sound asleep even on TSM!!!

Last year we took our then 5 month old on lots of rides in her carrier. I know we did Dumbo, Peter Pan, Storybookland Canal boats, Small World, Mickey's Fun Wheel (non-swinging), Pirates or the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, and Pooh. She happily slept through most of those rides. She was outward facing. Never did a cast member a thing. Honestly. I'm not sure I would have taken her on Dumbo if I was just holding her. She felt more secure in the carrier.

Does outward-facing mean that they have to have their back to your belly, or would a hip carry count? If a hip carry is acceptable, I'd rather bring the ring sling because it's so much easier to deal with, but if he has to be back-to-belly, I think a Moby wrap would work better. He hates the froggy-leg thing you have to do for the ring sling to be outward facing.

Everything we went on, and it was most of the non-thrill rides, I was able to keep her in it front facing. The only one that they made me take her out on was roger rabbits spin cars, she was 9 months at the time. They asked me to sit her on the seat and to me, it was the most dangerous thing. I made an error in judgment taking her on there (I hadn't been on it in years and forgot how jerky it was). She would have been much safer in the bjorn than sitting on a seat sliding next to me. I held on to her for dear life and woudn't not attempt that again, so stupid.

Maybe that is the difference. A front facing carrier vs a sling. A sling they would have to be removed but a front carrier would be okay.

I went with my oldest when she was 5 mo, and they never required me to remove her from the carrier. She slept through TSM, and She loved being in the carrier (close to Mommy) and riding. You shouldn't have any problems :thumbsup2
