For those of you who have taken infants to DW. What has been your experience with the nightime entertainment such as illuminations?

I don't know what age child you have, but we took DD for her first birthday and we had no problem with fireworks. This year on the 4th of July she was 1 1/2 and she fell asleep during one set of fireworks and LOVED the ones we saw the next night. Some parents bring earplugs too.

Last trip we booked a room with a lagoon view and lucked out with a MK view- so we watched the MK ones from our room! That was the best! No noise and in our pj's great end to a day. But in the past(I have 4 children) we have staked out a spot close to a store in case the child got frightened we had a place to duck into real quick. 3 of my 4 love the fireworks- one not so much...

We've never had any problems with out kids at Disney during Wishes or Illuminations.

We just got back with our DS 3 months and he slept through HalloWishes on Main St. He jerked a couple of times during the really loud ones but didn't wake up.

We bought earplugs for the baby, dd5 and dd3. They enjoyed the fireworks without incident. The baby fell asleep.

We just got back, and the baby loved the fireworks. I didn't think she'd even pay attention, but she did! The 3 year old thought they were too loud.

My nieces have been watching fireworks go off from the time they were 6 weeks old. (grandpa- is a licensed pyrotech). They never seemed to mind them, and have slept thru more shows than they ever watched. Just be sure to cover their ears if you are upclose.

My little one is not phased by noise, she has a 4yr. old brother! :goodvibes
She was 4 months during the 4th of July celebration and fell asleep during the fireworks display and these were the huge "illegal" fireworks that our neighbor was shooting off! (We live in Fl.)
I can vaccum around my child and nothing. Actually we were at the pool at WL in Sept. and they were doing the referb. Well, there was a man pressure washing the walkways and had a generator. He told us it was going to be loud since we had the baby, which was nice of him to have the concern, and he started it up. She fell asleep and stayed asleep the entire 2 hours he was working with the generator running!
So, if your child can stand noise, there should not be an issue. You can also find a spot in the parks to watch the firworks without them being right on top of you. Plus bring a blanket to lay next to thier little ears if it is a concern.

My DD 15 mos loved Wishes and Fantasmic. She never once got spooked. Didnt stick around for Illuminations (nothing special in our books).
