BA to fly out of LBA

Yippee, this will make it easier for us northern folk to get to the mouse, as it will open up LHR without a five hour drive.

Just checked BA fly from LHR to MCO, so just need to find other routes too, then the hunt can start in Sept for cheap flights for the blinking school hols next year.

Wasn't it BMI that used to do LBA to London? didn't work before so not sure it will this time. Always good to have options so will keep watching.

Yes it was BMI who flew from Leeds. The year we went to LA we were suppose to fly with them to LHR and then they cancelled the route, so I had to trek over to MAN and fly down. Flight was late taking off, nearly missed our flight to LA dispute allowing 3 hours connection. We were so late at booking the return leg, due to them cancelling LBA flights, that we had a 5 hour connection time coming home. It would have been quicker to drive home.

Let's hope that we can find lots of cheap connecting flights when they come out.

I think BA have taken over the old BMI routes but only until the end of the summer season. They will then be discontinued. BA don't fly to MCO from LHR, it's Gatwick.
