Hi all,

I am booked B2B in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone that has sailed B2B recently would mind sharing their experience? I’ve sailed B2B before so I know what that looks like pre-COVID and want to know what changes to expect this time around.

I had never done a B2B pre Covid but we did one for the Dream in Aug… we received paperwork the day before to explain where to meet and how everything was going to work…All the families doing the back to back had to meet in Pub 687 by 9:30…. We all waited there until the last guests were off the ship…They gathered us together and escorted us off the ship down through customs and then we were back in the downstairs lobby where they do the check in now and waited in line they came around to check our reservation and are safe passage to make sure that we were cleared to board the ship…Keep in mind during that cruise anybody that was not vaccinated had to be tested in the parking lot and the new rule that everybody has to be tested was not in effect yet…After they checked everything we went back upstairs and waited in the lobby they now have a lot more seating than they did and how they were ready to check us back in for the cruise and then maybe 45 minutes later they cleared us to go on board the ship…I think the time from getting off of the ship to getting back on the ship was less than two hours…They provided small sandwiches and snacks and free coffee and water in Cove café and we basically round around the ship until the other guy started getting on which was probably about two hours later….Although at that time the port arrivals or still later in the day not earlier like they’re doing now.

So if you are doing a back to back, do you still do the complete online check-in 30 days prior for the second cruise, or do your passports, photos, etc. roll over? And I would think you wouldn’t need to choose a port arrival time.

You still do the complete online check-in for the 2nd cruise because it's an entirely different cruise reservation. You will need to upload your passports (or BC/DL) and security photos again. You'll be asked to choose a PAT, which we did just to complete the page, but you won't need it since you'll be going through the B2B process. At the port, you'll debark with the B2B group, go thru customs, probably be taken to the tents for covid screening, then you actually check in again for the 2nd reservation before going upstairs to wait to board. You'll receive a new KTTW card, as well.

You also need to add your 2nd reservation to the Safe Passage website. On Safe Passage, you log in to your account (from registering for your 1st cruise) and add your 2nd reservation number (each adult will need to do this.)

Yes. You have to show your QR code’s for online checkin and safe passage before getting back on the ship for the second cruise.
