I'm going to book our before and after accommodation tomorrow very excited to be one step closer

decided on 2 nights before we sail in Barcelona and 1 after, means no time off school for dd and we'll be back home Sunday afternoon to get prepared for Monday morning. I know I should probably play the game and wait for sales/offers on hotels but on a few nights the savings won't be much and I'll be happy to be booked

I did, I booked Universal Hotel for a couple of nights before sailing, now just need the next 11 months to hurry up

I booked our hotel too! We are only coming in one day prior to the cruise so we only had to book for one night. We're staying at the Renaissance Barcelona Airport (a Marriott). It's by the airport so not near Las Ramblas or any tourist sites but it has several other advantages! There is a free shuttle that picks you up at the airport (and I like the idea of not having to pay for a shuttle or taxi), it has a free shuttle to Las Ramblas and back (so we can still do some sightseeing) and there is a cruise package that gets you free breakfast in the morning and a shuttle to the port. If we were staying longer we probably wouldn't stay so far away from the action but for one night I think it works for us!

Now we just have to wait for flights to come out to make sure that we'll arrive early enough on Friday to see everything we want to see!

I feel so behind! I don't have anything (other than the cruise) booked. I haven't even started researching yet and I usually have that done by now. Our oldest DD graduated last week and with all that finished up I really need to get going on this.

We dont have four people in our group so I'm not sure. Ours was 135 euros for two people but it was an extra 30 euros for a rollaway bed.

We are either going to have to get two rooms or some type of apartment rental because we are a family of 5 and hotels in Europe don't accommodate families that size. I was thinking of staying near the port, anyone have any suggestions?

Just to add we'll be booking the Novotel City for a night after the cruise, this had a lot of good feedback from previous cruisers and seemed to cater for families.

We have only to book the return flight because we're doing, EBTA, but we will spend at least 1 night post cruise. I'll be checking this hotel. It seems many of our possible return flights are leaving Barcelona between 6 & 9 AM so that means a very early wake up. It will be good not to be that far from the airport.
Shuttles would be a great perk!

So, we will be coming into Barcelona and leaving on BtB cruises. Do you think that Disney may offer day excursions around Barcelona on June 1? We called DCL and they only mentioned 3-4 day Pre-cruise trips, which we obviously can't do. If not, we will have to spend 2 nights post cruise. We want to see some of Spain, Barcelona & not just pass through.

Hope you have a fabulous cruise on the Fantasy. Shame you won't get to do the Med though, but maybe you will do it another time.



Enjoy your cruise, shame about Disney but as long as you have a fabulous cruise then that is all that counts.

When I priced other cruises I just couldn't find anything cheaper (for some reason). Maybe it is because I live in the UK??

Can I be cheeky and ask what cruise your are going on?

That's really good, maybe when my boys are older I would consider it. I haven't found anything that cheap though.

My boys are looking forward to the Disney cruise experience more than just the cruise, so right now another company wouldn't get passed them.

I just realized that I'll be celebrating my birthday as well!! I've been so concerned about my DD's bday in July that I didn't even realize that the cruise is so close to my own bday which is May 25th!

I too will be celebrating my birthday June 1!
