B Hotel or SOG?

Been a few years since we've been to Disney, and our go-to hotel has always been Shades of Green. Love the convenience of being able to walk to the monorail and the laid-back ambience. Now we're going in October and, since SOG was booked, we got the great mousesaver rate at the B Hotel. Since then, a room became available at SOG. Now not sure where to stay. We'll have a car, and won't have kids with us. And B is actually a little cheaper, even with taxes. Has anyone stayed at both who can give a good comparison, or has anyone just stayed at B and can let us know their thoughts on it? Thanks in advance!

I have never stayed at SOG, but we stayed at the B last November. It was really nice. Although we had our kids with us (they have bunk beds) it felt more like an adult hotel ie. nicely decorated, comfortable bedding, bar, quiet spaces to relax, several of the rooms had semi private pool side patios. There is a restaurant that serves Mickey waffles, they have transporation to the parks, the pool is heated, there is a hot tub and laundry facilities. The staff was pretty nice and helpful. My complaints are that we had the Mousesavers deal for $89 per night with free parking and no resort fees. They kept trying to add the cost of the parking in to bill and I just showed them the print out of my confirmation and they removed it- but I had to do this twice. And the cable went out the last night we were there, due to severe storms (Sea World closed early that day too). We had plans for an early departure so we had ordered pizza in the room and planned to just put the kids to bed early watching tv. While the cable was out it was suggested by the front desk that we should order a movie on demand, because that worked (weird right?) but they didn't even offer a discount on the movie which was $25. Not alot, but more than I really wanted to pay. We got the movie and it all worked out but it wasn't quite how we had planned.

How was the bus service.
We didn't use the bus. We drove to DTD and Sea World, but didn't go to the Disney parks. Everytime we were in the lobby there was at least one bus outside loading/unloading people.
