I'm planning to do a couple of meals with my 9 year old where there is an aycte option... Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner and breakfast. I've had bariatric surgery and would prefer an a la carte option (maybe even a kid meal) but my 9 year old son is a hungry growing boy and would love the aycte options. will they serve the skillet and patriots platter just to a child at child prices while I order something small for myself?

I don't see why not, I don't see anything it has to be ordered by everyone at the table. It's listed on the menu as a child's option.

1) Yes, you are accurate with AYCTE and ala carte assumptions:
2) Not everyone at the table needs to order the AYCTE plates.
. . . Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch-only
. . . Whispering Canyon Café (at WL) for breakfast-lunch-dinner
