I love tags! Being tagged for the first time is the best - I couldn't stop staring at them and I showed everyone in my house and I made a thread just like you did and in everyone else's thread I would mention my new tags lol. Congratulations! tags are fun, but only dis people seem to understand. DH didn't quite get it. At least DS thought it was cool. Mine used to be colorful until I changed browsers. Now I'm just black and white.

I just posted earlier today on the budget board to explain the tag fairy. I never grow tired of singing her praises.

The tag fairy is a magical member of DIS. She (possibly he, but that does not seem possible) hangs out on the boards. She occasionally "tags" posters by placing a phrase in a fun color from one of their responses under their names on the left of the screen.

New folks are earning their ears (like me). After a certain number of posts you automatically become a mousekateer or DIS Veteran, but the tag fairy adds the fun stuff under your name.

You never know when the tag fairy will wave her magic wand. You can not beg or bribe her. She works her wonders on her own and in her own time.

I've heard the purple fairy is 'snarky', though I'm not sure exactly what that means. I have a secret fondness for her, since purple is my favorite color, and maybe snarky means 'has a deliciously naughty sense of humor.'

I believe our tags are all quotes of ourselves. I had to think for a minute but then I remembered telling that to a woman whose DS's were whinging about having to share a bed with their sister.
