Go grab a can of brake cleaner, use the little straw tube on it as well, and spray the spot. Then pat it down with a rag. I don't know if this would discolor your driveway, as it is accitone. But if you do a little at a time, and wipe it up as you go, you should be able to at least lighten the staining.

Back when we were dating and I lived at my parents', DH's car used to leak oil. There was no on-street parking near my parents' place so there was no option except the paved driveway. DH used to carry a piece of cardboard in his trunk and would slide it under the car to catch any drips any time he parked in the driveway.

Perhaps you could provide a piece of cardboard and ask if she'd mind sliding it under her car since it has dripped. Since it sound like on-street parking is an option at your house, I have a feeling she'll just park in the street from then on.

Are speech therapists considered "mandatory reporters"? Might depend on if she works as an independent contractor, for a company, for a healt care system, through the school district, etc?

Depending on where you live anyone who works with children is a madatory reporter.

Honestly, I'm not so great with confrontation about something like this. She probably knows she has an oil leak and isn't in a position to get it fixed right now. I guess if it bothered me, I'd just park in the driveway.

Thanks, I might give that a try. I tried a "degreaser" type cleaner and it faded the spots a little, but still noticeable.

You could also try Simple Green. It's a natural product, and works good at getting grease off some things. Never tried it on concrete though.

You should say it like this... "I don't mind if you park in the driveway but my husband told me he would beat me again if I didn't tell you that your car leaks oil and that you need to park in the driveway"

My wife used to tell tele marketers that if she bought anything from them that I would beat her again..

Please don't tell a mandated reporter that. By law a speech therapist would have to call CPS if you said that, at least in my state where violence against a child's parent is considered child abuse.

All speech therapists, and other health care providers are mandated reporters.
