We had lunch at Pecos Bill's yesterday in the Magic Kingdom. We've been there many times. It's always a bit chaotic but no more than anywhere else. Yesterday, we ordered our meal and waited at the counter, and waited, and waited, and waited. 15 minutes, then 20, then 25. A few times I asked a CM to check on our order and they said it was coming. Finally, after 30 minutes and getting a Lead involved, we got our food and went to a table.
I sat down with my fajita platter and quickly realized that it only had chicken, not chicken and beef like it should. So not only did it take them half an hour to make our food, they didn't even do it correctly.
That was the last straw. I went back up to the counter, receipt in hand, and asked to speak to the manager. She happened to be standing 5 feet away from me. I explained the ridiculously long wait and the platter being wrong when we finally got it. She got a CM to go back to get me a correct platter and she took my receipt over to a register and issued me a full refund for the entire meal. So we were appeased in the end but I still have no idea why it took them so long to get us our food. Other guests behind us were getting served and 3 times I handed my receipt to a CM to check on our order. At least the manager did the right thing, took responsibility, and compensated us for the trouble.
