I'm a little bit behind the curve on posting this, but no one started a thread about it here yet.

Disney announced their summer discounts (room-only). The Awaken Summer Offer is good for stays beginning 5/30/2016 - 8/25/2016 with some blackout dates. Must be booked by June 10, 2016.

Looks like discounts of "up to 20%" at the Values and Moderates, with "up to 30%" off at the Deluxes and Deluxe Villas. Some resorts and/or locations are excluded.

Details here:

Yes. Sadly my August stay at AKL Villas is excluded because it is a savanna view. I am very dissapointed.

I already booked mine with the summer meal promo. It's only 1 qs meal per person per day but I'd only save like $150 on my reservation with this new promo.

These prices don't make sense to me. I booked before the promo with Rack rate for Aug 13th through 21th.

I got Port Orleans Riverside with Park hoppers, Disney Dining 1ts 1qs, Memory maker and 9 days of ticket for 5400.00. When i price it today with the discounts it only comes to 5240. That's a saving of only 160.00. My moderate says it should be a 25% discount.

My travel agent just got off the phone and she said that to get the 25% off i have to take the increase in ticket prices....... That sucks.

Yep! Disney made sure that they did the ticket and dining plan price increases before announcing their summer deal. Coincidence? I don't think so.

We're staying at pop century and would only save $150-160 as well. With the summer dining I estimated about $200. More if we share meals.

I'm really happy. I only have a two night stay at ASSports on June 30/July 1 and I got 20% off both nights. I haven't seen a 20% discount at the All Stars in the summer in a long time. I only expected to see 10%. Saved me ~$60. I don't need tickets as I bought before the price hike.

We got $140 off our Pop reservation for June. We already had a VERY 'magical' deal for AKL for the second part of our split stay. Switching to this promo for AKL would have cost me an additional $175..

but you guys are forgetting the special magic bands (only 1 design) that make things around the park play noise with this promo.....

I saved additional 20% at Cheaptickets with promo code Clover20. It is on top of the Disney Summer Promotion. Just make sure to select the room with the summer discount. (Thanks to someone at DIS)

Thanks. I just did this as well. I'll be cancelling my reservation with Disney since this saved me another $47.

Now, do you know how to get a reservation number that can be used in MDE?

Where do you add a code when booking?

Call Cheaptickets customer service line and ask for the hotel confirmation number. Make sure it's all numbers. The first time I called, I was given a long letter/number combination which didn't work with MDE. After the reservation is linked, change the mailing address for MagicBand. The, go to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/airport-transportation-reservation/ to book Magical Express.

Agree,,, I just booked a trip and it did not "add" up to any good savings... I think I may just cancel my whole trip?

Yep, we did two rooms with 1-night stays and 10-day tix under the promo that just expired. I looked into changing it to this promo to get the BB8 magic bands and it was $300 more than what we currently have booked. Since we only moved the date 10 days and went from a weekend night to a week night, I'm guessing its mostly tix.
