Has anyone out there ever sold Avon? Can you make enough that it would be worth the time? The cost to start up? And taxes. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.

:cutie:

I do, it was $10 to start when I joined but I think it's $15-20 now. I don't make anything on it, I signed up with grand intentions but I'm too busy so I just buy what I use and stuff for family/friends gifts.

I just wanted to step in here and remind everyone that the DIS does not allow members to recruit referrals for their downline. Please do not post "PM me if you have questions" or "I'd love to help you to get started. PM me." Those posts will be assumed to be attempts to build your team and will be removed. Any questions that you have or information that you wish to share can be posted here.

It was $15 when I started (just a few months ago). I don't make anything either and only hope to break even each time. I do get mine and dd's products without paying anything oop most of the time and I have started picking up a few things here and there for Christmas presents.

I sell Avon and I do make money. I think selling it and making money depends on a number of things... how much you put into it, how saturated your area is with reps, if you build a team etc.

I agree that it all depends on what you put in to it. I sell to family and co-wokers. Some campaigns I have a 2-300 $ order and the next campaign barely anthing. I don't really push it, don't go out and try to get new customers or anything like that.

I've been selling Avon for about a year now. When I first started I put a lot of time and effort into it. The start up was I think $20 or so as I signed up online. I very rarely made too much profit and sometimes break even. I recently have started experiencing A LOT of problems with recieving my shipments as they keep sending my packages Velocty Express instead of UPS and they dont arrive....ever. They outsource out of the country to a third party so any time I have problems it is sooooo hard to get a solution. My local office has very short hours so reaching someone there is a nightmare. I intend on stopping soon. I personally don't recommend Avon. I think you should only do it if you really have the time and effort to put into it and its more time and effort than you think. There are certainly people in my area who use Avon as there only source of income and its a booming business. Its just not for everyone. Good luck if you do try it! :goodvibes

It was not a money maker for me. After purchasing sale brochures, bags, samples and using my gas to deliver purchases it just was more time than money.

From the other side (the consumer): I find it MUCH easier to just buy it online. Once you get on their email list, you get tremendous offers regularly (I got one recently for free shipping with a $5 order). Also, you can get rewards through MyPoints (and others) for shopping through their link.
