Is there anyway to avoid the pre-show areas... like at ToT where they show the video; or RnR rollarcoaster sound test room; or the stretch room in Haunted Mansion? That's all I can think of at the moment... if you know of any others please advise!

Trying to avoid close contact as much as possible when we are able.

Thanks!

Oh and I think there is one at Dinosaur?

I am not sure about the others, but I know Haunted Mansion has a door that can bypass the stretching room. I have heard different opinions on this though of people asking to skip the stretching room and the CMs saying they can't do that and I have heard stories of people getting management involved and they have been able to bypass that little rule and have taken the guests past the stretching room. We did Haunted Mansion 1 time when my older son was 3...it totally freaked him out, he's on the spectrum and I don't think the actual room freaked him out I think there was just too many people in a close proximity to him. We have avoided haunted mansion like the plague for this very reason. Although on our next trip I am going to ask if we can skip the stretching room, for 1 because of my son on the spectrum, and for 2 I have a younger son that is a little escape artist and he just runs away from us at the drop of the hat. We have been working with him on this, but once you get to Disney all bets are off, lol...for that reason we get the use a stroller as a wheel chair sticker so he can remain in his stroller. Now I am not sure what the haunted mansions ADA process is, or whether or not we can skip the stretching room because we are using the stroller...they really pack you into that room so I don't even know how they can get a stroller or a wheelchair into it, unless they have another room specifically for wheel chairs. Its worth looking into a little more in detail though, lol

For HM they will let strollers in the stretching room so you still need to tell them you want to skip it

My daughter is 14 so no stroller concerns Lol

I wouldn't want to cause a ruckus but would like to avoid it if we could and wondering if others have had success... if not, we may have to avoid these ones for now.

I'll put HM as a maybe!

You can ask the CM if you can go through while both doors are still open. Sometimes they can do it and sometimes they can't.

Some times the ores how are not working I have been on 3 where you just walked through the so ask the CM

You use to be able to enter at the exit and thus avoid the stretching room all together. It would be worth asking.

They have completely done away with having guests enter at the exit ever since rolling out FP+. I always skip the stretching room and I board where others are getting off. I have never been denied skipping the stretching room.
One person I know, they told her she couldn't skip the stretching room....well she just stood there and didn't enter it. The doors close at a certain point. Amazingly when the door closed, the CM decided that she could skip it and took her through the alternative hall. This friend had skipped the stretching room before so she knew this CM was just being difficult. It does seem that they are more flexible now then they were a year or two ago.

I don't see any way for them to let you skip the RnRC preshow. ToT, they would have to let you in the back way. And honestly I doubt they will because that would cause you to skip the entire line. The only other way I can think of if it was EMH at night. Every once in awhile we got a cool CM who would let us skip the preshow and just open the door and walk thru knowing we'd all already seen it a zillion times. LOL! I don't do Dinosaur so I can't help there.

.

Boarding where others are getting off is what I meant when I said the exit. They can also slow down or stop the moving sidewalk at the exit (departing area) in order to allow some people to board.

The only rides that you can do this on is BTMRR and HM HM you still go through the line until the end

Sorry...I thought you were referring to the "old way". The old way, they had you go up to where the horseless carriage is and then they had a CM escort you across to the exit and you went up the exit the rest of the way. You never entered the entrance area (going into the front of the mansion and possibly the stretching room) at all like you do now. They discontinued this way several years ago. That is what I thought you were referring to. My bad. :)
