I am interested to know : how many of you avoid the parks that have EMH's on those days? (and the arguments for and against!!!) :crowded: :grouphug:

it may depend on what time of yr you go. we always go to emh at all parks once a trip...the only one i might not do again is ak since there wasnt' much open except it was our best safari ride so probably would. we always get to ride everything open but we go in DEc or Jan( early in months) it puts us a real jump ahead and it's not noticably busier the rest of the day but it's not busy then anyway

I like the morning ones for a few reasons: So many people on vacation do not want to rise early including Disney resort guests; so, it's a good time to go; it's relatively empty. It's so neat to be in the parks when noone else is there. As an example, once we rode Small World six times straight without ever getting off the ride. I took video from every angle you could do. Also, it's so neat to get a picture in front of the castle with noone else in the picture but your family. It's the same feeling with the Sorceror's hat at MGM. Finally, I like getting to the farthest part of the park before the park opens officially to the general public. When it opens to the general public noone will be in the farthest areas and you can ride all the rides that just opened up there. Then you can work backwards back up to the park's front, rather than forwards and that really helps because you are going opposite of most of the park's traffic. I love it!

I avoid EMH....but I am just NOT a morning person. I actually TRIED to make EMH a couple times, but it just didn't happen.

Depending on when you go though makes a big difference in doing or not doing EMH. I always go off-season, so it isn't such an issue.

Sorry! Never Mind! I Posted Wrong Spot!

:cool1: I love EMH!

Well, I've NEVER done it in the morning because I'm not a morning person, but the evening ones are great!
There's not as many people as there are in the day. It's night time so it's nice and cool. The lines on the rides are limited. Characters are usually out at night. It's great! I don't understand why someone won't like it.

I've always liked the morning EMH. I like to be able to get started early in the day while the crowds are low. That being said, we are traveling with an infant this time, so I am avoiding all EMH since we will be going by his schedule and I know that doesn't include getting to a bus stop by 7 am.

In the past, we have been EMH commandos - hitting whatever park opened early as fast as we could. That worked really well for us around Christmas, because things got so crowded, but...this next trip, I will have a lot more time (8 days), so we have decided to try ignoring the EMH park and going elsewhere in the mornings. We may try to pick up some evening EMH's, but we won't kill ourselves trying!
