We are driving down from the Chicago area and just hit Georgia about 30 mins ago. It looks like we should get to orlando about 830am but I'm wondering if there is a way to minimize getting stuck in morning traffic. We always take the toll road in and we're actually headed to the embassy suites LBV (on lake street) for our first day.

We've never arrived in the morning like this so I'm just wondering if there is a different route I should take. Thanks!

Are you stopping somewhere enroute??? It should take you less than 5 hours to get to your destination

Where are you now? Can't you stop for breakfast somewhere north of Orlando (maybe in Wildwood just before you hit the turnpike).

We're about 30 miles from the turnpike. We tossed around the idea of stopping for breakfast but after 16 hours in the car we're pretty icky and unkempt.

Gotcha. Actually, you probably missed most of rush hour. Are you there yet?

We arrived right about 850am and barely any traffic at all. It actually seemed to work out perfectly!

Lizzybean we are taking that drive in about a month. What route did you take? When did you leave? How long did it take to get there? Any major construction on the way? We are leaving from the Schaumburg area. Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance
