Avoiding Foot Races in Nov. 2019?

I blundered our party into the races last Nov., our dates were Nov 2 - 11. We're going Oct 18 - 27 in 2018 so we should be OK then but I'm looking for 2019 dates now. Oct 23 - Nov 2 looks safe, Sat the 2nd will be a travel day, Fri the 1st will be our last park day. Anyone know if the races all take place in Nov? We were a party of 11 and MK was our first park day on Sun Nov 5 2017 which was screwed up due to bus transportation issues related to the race. Any info, even speculation, would be appreciated.

the 2019 race hasn't gone on the schedule yet. Outside of the full marathon in January, the races have a negligible impact on park touring. For all of the WDW races, Sunday is the day of the longest race, which is the half marathon for all weekends except the full in January. Those races are pretty much completed by 10 or 10:30, and they finish at EPCOT, so there is minimal impact other than some early bus delays in some instances, as you mentioned. The November race course has not ever gone through MK, so if you find yourself in town at that time, consider that for your Sunday park if you are going early. Last years course went from MK parking to AK, then into HS, and finished in Epcot parking.

Our experience in 2017 was different. Leaving from the Board Walk on Sun we had numerous non-MK buses go by before we got one and the ride itself took the better part of 45 mins. We realistically plan on doing Space Mtn, Buzz and People Mover as walk-ons as we have since forever. The delays shot that down. The day before wifey and I went it AK, the rest or our party didn't arrive until later that day, and parking lot traffic was backed up almost to the first turn after the toll booths, again race related, it would seem. on a minor note, every morning I enjoy having a cigar and coffee on the bench near Atlantic Dance around 6:15. Twice my reverie was disturbed by the racers and their cheerleaders on or near the boards. Yeah, I know, 'WAAAAAA!'. I'll avoid this if at all possible.

Just remember in fall 2019 you'll probably be dealing with star wars crowds at DHS and whatever spillover that might cause in the epcot area resorts....

I'd assume that if Wine and Dine follows a similar pattern it will happen 10/31-11/3 or 11/8-11/10
