Hi everyone,

Having returned last week and starting to catch my breath finally we are now in full planning mode for next Marchs 'family' trip. I have been left in charge of my OH's family holiday and want to get it for the best price available. They think of me as a bargain hunter (???).

So far Iv priced up 4 nights at Cheyenne on the 2 nights free offer on a FB basis so no faffing with who owes what at meals. However to book online and take advantage of Quidco cashback I have to book seperately and pay approx £16 CC charge (surely this is ridiculous)! If I phone I lose the cashback? Is there another way around this?

Ill do my trip report shortly - this trip exhausted me, the heat, the crowds, the kids and lack of sleep! All will be explained soon!!!

You should get more back in cashback to cover the CC charge I think? so its still a better deal

And yeah if you phone you dont get the cashback, I dont know if you get charged CC charges via phone either.

you do get charged the booking fee with debit or credit card if you book over the phone too. The only way around the booking fee is to book over the phone and then send a cheque. But obviously you get no cashback doing this.

Sorry my brain is all over the place - we are booing 4 rooms so if I do it individually there is one CC charge. If I book on the phone Im hoping I only get 1 CC charge. Cashback is usually 3.5 - 4 %! Its a shame the online version dont allow you to make multiple room requests on one bill!

If you book by phone you'll have to pay two CC charges as you can only book up to 3 rooms under one reservation (just checked on website as I thought there was some limit to the number of rooms).

You'll have to work out whether the Quidco cashback is worth the two additional booking fees than booking by phone. We have to book two rooms and Quidco more than makes it worthwhile booking online and paying the second CC fee.
