avoid BGT day of a passholder night event?

The day we were planning on going to BGT is a day with an 8pm-11pm passholder fireworks and nighttime rides event. So now I'm wondering if we should shuffle our schedule to avoid this day or if (like some special party days at WDW) the locals will come only later in the day prior to the passholder event and the park will be less crowded than 'normal' early in the day.
Has anyone been on a day with an evening passholder event and noticed more or less crowding than 'normal?' Anyone got a good argument either way? (I know everyone says to avoid weekends, but we will be going to a park that day - the only question is which one SW/AW/BGT...)
