Avocado margarita for the non-tequila fan…

The title says it all…
This drink seems appealing to me but I am definitely not a big tequila person… does it taste like tequila at all? If so, how strong is the taste vs melon liquor taste?
I really want to try it but don’t want to waste 17$ on a drink that I won’t like!

IMO the melon definitely overpowers the tequila. You barely taste tequila. After melon I would say you taste lime. It's refreshing and the avocado provides a unique texture.

I can't answer the tequila flavor question because I can't drink tequila. My son, though, ranks this as his favorite cocktail in WDW.

Barely taste alcohol if any is in there at all. Just had the Black Magic and the Avacado drinks there and they both tasted awesome. As far as tequila or alcohol, I felt the same as if I drank 2 Gatorades. I liked the Black Magic better, but that drink with tip it was $28.
Territory Lounge had the best margarita the last few years I've gone.

You mainly taste the avocado and lime. They use a very light tequila, and if you like guacamole (the simple kind, with just avocado, citrus, and salt) I think you'll like this drink.

It mostly tastes like Midori (or whatever melon liqueur they use).
If you are not a fan of tequila, I don't recommend it, especially not at this price. I can taste the tequila in every margarita I've ever had and if you dislike it, so will you.

While I am not a huge fan of certain Tequilas Jose Cuervo gold is where the Tequila taste comes from although Cuervo makes some very expensive upper end as well as to not pan them... order any drink with Suaza or Patron (and more but every bar has these) and it will not have a strong Tequila taste.
