A while back I was able to make a reservation using the infamous "usa" code. Now when I look at my reservation online at avis is has the following message "Negotiated rates apply. Please contact your travel coordinator for rate information. " No rates appear on the screen.

To those who had reservations with this code, did you have any problems using this code? I'm wondering if I'll be okay just showing up with my e-mail confirmations that have the rates in them or should I cancel those reservations and try making new reservations.

The way I see it, there are two possibilities. They either have your rate in the system but not on the reservation (showing as a noted rate but not as a listed rate), or they'll give your their "best available rate" at the time of rental. The "best available rate" is just a name for their regular rate.

You can call Avis customer service and they'll have you fax them a copy of your confirmation, and they'll note the rate on the reservation for the MCO counter to see.

BTW, I used Avis a couple weeks ago, and we had a really good experience. Though we did have to wait in line, our rental process went very quickly (some people have SO many questions! from the time we got to the counter and got the keys, it was about two minutes at the most).
