My wife & I are heading down to WDW on Sat, Dec 29 and heading home Sun, Jan 6. For those of you who have travelled out of the midwest (Specifically DTW), what are average airfares?

We have flown to MCO many times and have never paid more than $240 for a RT ticket. The prices I see know for the above dates range from $350 up to $490 and the times we want to fly are on the high end of that. Is this normal or should I wait until a couple months before?

Try flying out of toledo. We are traveling December 28 and returning and January 5. Paid $198 on Northwest and we are connecting in Detroit! Less than Detroit direct.

Well, if you don't mind waiting...ProAir is supposed to be back up and running Aug 31st. When we used them before we were paying around $180 r/t from City to MCO. I would fly them again without hesitation! In fact, if all is well when we need to book out tix for March, I will be going with ProAir.

I agree - we used to fly out of Tri County airport in Midland and could do it for less than $200.00 when we first moved to Michigan. I paid $301.00 each for our 12/15-29 tickets for this year to MCO going out of Grand Rapids (going on US Air). I started watching in February and they have gone up about $50-$75 since I first started looking. Good luck!
