How long do you spend on the DIS

  • 15-25 mins. Just checking a few posts

  • 30 mins. No signs of addiction yet.

  • 1 hour. Yes, I know there are other things I could be doing!

what do you think is the average you spend on the DIS at a time? I start to get homesick and then I come here and before I know it, an hour and a half have gone by.

I said 2hours +, since I usually leave the site up throughout the day and just check back from time to time. Fortunately, I'm not on a modem.

There will be periods of weeks or months that I don't access the DIS boards, but usually within a few months of an upcoming trip, I'm here!

Hey - it's better than shopping, chat rooms or porn, IMHO! ;)

I'm on a PC all day at work so I always have a few Dis boards up. When I'm at home I have a laptop on the coffee table thats always on-line. So technically I'm on about 16 hrs a day, but I'm not going out of my way to do so. Really, I'm not addicted, honest.

Usually before a trip I average 2+ hours a night getting tips, seeing who will be cruising/visiting the same time. I have even met some wonderful people on vacation after chatting with them on the disboards: Mike & Kerry, Beth from NJ, Rae, Relling Twin, Twin Ave etc.....

The problem is weaning myself right after vacation. The only cure is to plan another vacation and jump back on the Dis!

Ditto for me too.:D

You forgot to mention constant refreshes to see new posts and responses to your own responses.

But I don't have a problem either.......

Does anyone have a spouse like mine who is forever asking,"What else could you possibly need to know about Disney!" He just doesn't get why I love these boards so much, there is always something to learn!:)

I don't hang out on them to learn things, I just like giving wisea$$ answer to questions.

Ditto here on the all day at work login.

Bad part is, if I do it much at home DW thinks I have a DIS girlfriend:eek: . "who are you talkin' to in there, is she cute?"

Hygienejean,
My husband is always saying that I must know everything there is to know already. I have become somewhat obsessed since we purchased DVC. Fortunately, he just laughs. Thank goodness I don't have dial-up.

Same here, the computer or laptop is always on but I'm not always online.

hey i admit it

My name is momsal and I am a Dis addict!!!!

My husband calls you guys "my little Disney friends." He just rolls his eyes when he comes in and sees me on the computer!

I am at home with the kids so I work a bit, DIS a bit, etc. I'll vacuum and feed them lunch, then take a DIS break. Sanity is hard to come by for stay-at-home Moms, and the DIS is the real deal for me. I don't know how I am going to return to the work world... but then, a lot of you do a lot of DIS-ing from your jobs!

I have a cable connection, so I'm logged on all day. :teeth:

I'm not much of a "people person". I work,I come home,I go to WDW, what a wild life I live. I was telling DW about this thread- she's not a Dis board person- and her comment was she didn't mind the time I spend here because there are a lot worse internet sites I could be hooked on and then added " besides, they're the only people you don't mind being friends with".

KNWVIKING,
That's a great reply. That pretty much somes up our life.

I work,I come home,I go to WDW, what a wild life I live.
By the way, I'm originally from Tuckahoe, NJ. Graduated from Ocean City HS and lived in Millville for about 4 years before moving to Del a where (?)

Too much time for sure!

Mine is atleast 2+ hours but ususally it is split up into various times of the day...
