Average Sit-Down Dining Times

Hello all! How long would you say that the average sit-down time for a table service meal would be for a lunch or dinner? Would it be an hour, hour+, or can we count on 2 hours for most? Just trying to see about how much time we would have before and after for the parks?

by far, once you are seated, the majority of Disney restaurants will have you out in 45-60 minutes - they're interested in turning over the tables, lol. If you are choosing the most popular restaurants, and eating at prime meal times you may wait 20-40 minutes to be seated. We tend to eat at off times (early or late) so rarely have to wait long for our table.

That said, if you're doing signature restaurants (like Cali Grill, Narcoosee's, etc.) expect it to take at least 90-120 minutes. And the character meals can take more than an hour not because you're waiting for food, but because you're waiting for all the characters to make their way around the restaurant to your table.

We have the regular dining plan. At this point, I don't have any siganture dinings scheduled, but we definately have a few character meals planned. Just don't want to waist too much time in the restaurants...you know. I guess we could do a signature one day, which would free up more time up in the parks another day. Robbie is 5 and Meredith is 2, and just like everyone else, I'm trying to schedule around meals, naps, rides, stinky diapers, parades, fireworks, etc...you know what I mean. We'll be going toward the end of May, so everyone is staring to get really pumped up. Thanks so much for your reply!
