Average Joe 2 - Hawaii ....Question

The fact that she didn't eliminate David makes me wonder how much the producers have a say in who she picks. I don't know who would want to put up with him. He was acting like a complete jerk. In fact, after the show was over, I don't know if anyone else read the credits, but it said something to the effect that her choices are discussed with the producers beforehand, but she has the final say. I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to get rid of David, but they told her it would be better for ratings to keep him on. It just doesn't make sense that she kept him on, he was just totally annoying. I wanted to reach through the TV and strangle him.:crazy2:

I never doubt that the producer/director has a hand in who stays in all of these shows. Remember Robert in Cupid???

The first Joe Millionaire admitted the producers told him who to pick. The second one was so contrived it couldn't have been anything else.

I DID notice David getting a kiss in the previews! UGH!! I wouldn't want him in the same room as me!

I've only watched one or two episodes of "reality" TV, and after watching my second or third last night, I am reminded of why.

I tuned in because it was in Hawaii, it actually sounds like a half-way decent concept, and there was nothing else on I wanted to watch.

Man what a waste of an hour.

About 1/2 the guys are average, the other half are varying degrees of bizarre.

I agree with somebody else who said that it appeared she wanted to bail, but was reminded by the producers of her obligations so decided to stay on. Really, I don't have a problem with her reaction. I'm sure many of us would not want to find out there is a hidden camera on us immediately after getting such a surprise.

What the heck is up with throwing a bunch of "hunks" into the mix? That just destroys the only concept of the show that was mildly interesting, which was the idea of her getting to know, and possibly falling for, guys she would never otherwise talk to.

And I also agree with the idea that the producers had heavy influence on who she eliminated.

I don't want to watch football games or game shows that are fixed, why would I want to watch a "reality" show that is fixed?

I can't believe she didn't get rid of David!! He drove me crazy! A bit to hyper for me!! I'm so glad that I am not the only one who finds this man annoying!!!

Don't get me wrong... there's somebody out there for everybody. But no way that this particular girl wouldn't have terminated David at her first opportunity.
