Do you subscribe to the newspaper? Do you read the local newspaper every day? If you answered yes, you are a minority. In the 1950s almost everyone read the newspaper and watched the evening news on TV. Now fewer and fewer people read the paper.

I love the newspaper and follow the news very carefully. How about you? What do you think of the local newspaper?

Read and subscribe to the newspaper daily. I'm 42. Love my Washington Post. :goodvibes

We watch the news, sometimes we read the paper online. We do not subscribe to the paper or buy the paper, although my partner does when she takes the bart to work sometimes.

I am 22 and she is 21.

We subscribe to our local rag on the weekends, but I read the Washington Post and New York Times daily online, and occassionally buy a USA Today just for their sports coverage and to give me something to read on smoke breaks. :teeth:

Edited to add - We're both in our early mid-thirties, but I've had the news bug for years.

We subscribe to the local paper and DH and I both read it every morning before work. If it's late, it throws off my whole routine. :) I'm 42.

I buy a paper on my way to work every day - I'm 24. Wow, I'm really a minority... what can i say... i like being educated in what's going on around the globe. Can't stand the news though - for various different reasons (mainly editing)

We subscribe to our local paper, and I have to do the Jumble every day. (I like those scrambled words - and the similar games here on the boards.)

We're late 40's, but I often find DDs (10 and 12) and DS(16) reading items they find interesting in the paper.

I'm suscribed to three... but I only read one of them, the other two I buy for the ads. I'm older than 30, but younger than 32. ;)

I used to work for a newspaper, but I don't subscribe to one. I read my news online. It's a lot easier.

We subscribe to our local paper daily and we usually find time to read at least a couple sections a day, more on the weekends. :)

I am 25 and subscribe to our local daily. Read it every night, mainly for the local news. I also watch the news/GMA in the morning while getting ready for work. I check headlines online throughout the day for most of the national news.

My DH (who is 27) reads the sports section everyday but if we didn't subscribe he would be fine with that too. He can get most of that info online.

I don't subscribe to any, but read a ton online every day.

I read the hometown paper, have to check the obituaries to make sure that I'm not in there. My homepage is the NY Times and I love the USA Today on Fridays. I'm 56 years old, so I guess I fall close to the national average. :)

We get our our local newspaper(Seattle Times) delivered 7 days a week. I grew up reading the newspaper, as my DH did. Our DD11 reads most of it every day and is very up to date on current events. She's been reading it for at least 2 years. I suspect our DD6 will be the same way. I'm 44 and DH is 45.
I was a Mail Carrier for awhile and was surprised at the amount of people that DIDN'T subscribe to the paper. I could tell because we would deliver ads to people that didn't get the paper.
