hi! Wondering if the ride makes sense to kids that haven't seen the movie? Necessary to see it or no?

If they have not seen the movie, then it's just a ride like any other ride. I would not worry about seeing the movie just for the rides/Pandora. I've only seen bits of the movie, and did not really care for what I seen, but will go on the rides and check out Pandora.

I did not see the movie prior to visiting Pandora and it made no difference at all. The ride experience is still awesome and the scenery is still amazing and beautiful without seeing Avatar. I would definitely not fret about it :)

You don't need to see the movie to enjoy Pandora, but if you do see the movie first you'll see things throughout Pandora that you'll recognize. In my opinion seeing the movie will enhance your experience in Pandora.
