Avalon high

My 8-year-old daughter really liked it. I thought the twist was a nice touch, especially given the target audience of young girls.

I am home sick tonight and was surfing through the channels when I came upon this... I am a late 20-something woman w/no children, so take this for what it is... but, I think it cute. I have paused it a few times, so I am not 100% through it yet, but, so far the story is cute, very unbelievable, but cute. I could see myself as a 13 year old being totally smitten over the 'king author' character. He is kinda cute.

Twist??? ohhh.. not there yet... but from the very beginning I thought there might be a twist... and that character we were told to believe may not be...

My 17-year old said it's totally different from the book.

To me it was kind of cute but I thought the show was like eating cotton candy...those first few bites are delicious but if you finish the whole thing it kind of makes you teeth hurt and your stomach gets upset and your head starts to throb.

agnes!

Ok. I 'think' I have gotten to the twists. I figured out 50% of them. I figured out the bad "guy"... but didn't see the good "guy". That was a total surprise!

As to the original question, I am pretty sure if I wasn't drugged up on cold medicine and had a very large glass of wine, I'd have turned the move off a few hours ago, but it is cute...

We watched because my little girl wanted to see it, and my son ended up liking it anyway. It was pretty good.

BTW - I LOVE me some cotton candy! :lovestruc

:rotfl:

Liked it. As the mum of boys I am sick of all the "girl power" shows. Leave something for the boys since King Arthur is a male character. 11 yr old ds liked it.

As the mom of a son and a daughter, I don't think there are too many "girl power" shows. I see heroes of both genders in shows/movies. I haven't broken down the percentages, but there are tons of male leads in kids' movies - I'm really not sure where your frustration comes from.

My girls ages 5 and 4 had been eagerly awaiting it for months now, so all week they kept asking of it was Friday yet. They liked it. Both DH and I thought it was cute. However I felt like it was too short, with too many commercials. They could ahve made it the full two hours with fewer commercials and added more meat to it. It did leave this 31 year old mom considering reading the books.

I was plestly suprised I did not think I would hate it but nothing else was on so I ended up watching it and loveing it
