Availability of rooms at low times

My husband and I have been to Disney a few times and are thinking about buying into DVC now that we have a few litle ones. We won't go when the lines are long so we will probably travel at low times. We like to stay at different places (OKW, BWV & VWL - we'e seen them all) but are wondering if we get a home resort, can we still get rooms at BWV in the adventure or choice seasons (say October this year) in the 7 month window. We would probably get a couple of studios or a 2 bedroom villa.

Hello Sachsa and welcome to the DIS!!

There have been several posts recently about people getting in at BWV at the seven month window. There has been some speculation that the reason for this is because many BWV folks are changing their ressies to VWL at the seven month window and thus leaving vacancies at BWV.

Whether this will continue to happen when the excitement of VWL dies down is hard to say since we are new at this ourselves I am sure others will let us know.

Just for reference, I just tried (Monday) to get a 1-br (Std view) at BWV for any week in September. That's really only 4-5 months away. None were available, although there were still Preferred views available. I opted to stay instead at OKW (my home resort) and there were plenty of 1-br units still available there.

We just got into VWL at the 7 month window for a 2bdr and a studio. No wait list or anything. We has ressies at BWV for same but couldn't wait to stay at VWL. I think the more properties they get the easier it'll get to do this, of course this also means more people trying to go. Last year we went to OKW at the 7 month window for a studio. BW is our home, but want to experience the others. By the way we go in Nov or first part of Dec and it has been slow compared to other times of the year, from what we were told by CM's.
