availability of BWV 2BR standard view in 7 month window?

I have points at BWV and BCV. I ended up banking BCV points, so for next year I have to use them. We are bringing friends with us, so we need a 2BR unit, and I much prefer the standard view (to maximize points of course!).

So, what luck has anyone had with getting a standard view 2BR at BWV during 12/1/ - 12/14 at the 7 month window? Do I even have a chance?

Little chance. Those 2 weeks are probably the most difficult weeks to get at BWV. You can try to waitlist though.

You could try to book as many nights as you can at the 11 month window with your BWV points and then waitlist for the rest. If you have enough BCV points at 11 months for the entire stay, you could book that and then waitlist for BWV at 7 months.

Thanks for the info - unfortunately that's what I thought! I plan to book the trip using my BCV points at the 11 month window, and will try to waitlist to switch to BWV standard view. I figure that I could stay for 6 nights standard, but only 5 using the preferred view (or BCV rate). If the waitlist doesn't come through, we'll do what we usually do...move to another hotel for the weekend! I just can't stand to use my points for those weekend rates especially when they offer such good cash rates for AP holders during that time of year!
