Availability in May and can I make reservations on a Sunday?

As some of you know I just closed on 300 resale points on Thursday of last week. I wasn't planning on using points until next year but I am now considering using them on May 11-20 of this year.

About 6 weeks ago when I was speaking directly with Disney about buying they checked availability and over those May dates they said that BW and WL did not have availability but that OKW did. Six weeks later do you think that OKW still has availability. Will I be able to make reservations in any of the three DW resorts?

I am guessing that cancellations will start to come in around now. Has anyone got reservations over those dates in the last week.

I was going to make my first reservation tonight but it was closed. I think it is also closed
on Sunday. Is there any way to make a reservation on a Sunday or do I need to wait until
Monday?

sorry, i think you'll have to wait until monday. even if you e-mail ms, they won't get around to it until monday or later. when you do call ms, have them re-check availability of bwv or vwl as well; sometimes people do cancel or change their ressies.

Sorry to say, but you have to wait to call until Monday am because Member Services (MS) is not open on the weekend. It can at times be hard to get through to MS first Monday morning because many families decide what their going to do on the weekend and then call so that their can book their dreams.

I wouldn't use e-mail for reservations since you are not guaranteed that they will look at your e-mail first thing and if they don't have what you want they will not automatically book you into an alternate without first getting your approval.

With regards to the possibility of getting what you want...hard to say until you call. I'll send a little pixie dust your way that you get what you want!!

I reccomend you call right at 9:00 AM Monday morning. In fact, start dialing at 8:59. I have had no trouble getting in right away if I call at 9:00. The MS reps are not as busy then either, so they will spend more time with you. Be sure you recheck ALL DVC resorts as things change. OKW is so large, that they will usually have something available. You have no home resort considerations since you are so near, ask for any resort you want, then ask if any resort is available.

Obviously, by now you know you have to wait till Monday. Cancellations come in till the day you are trying to reserve. At 31 days before the reservation, any people that need to avoid the holding account make their cancellations. That is another time when you could get lucky. The problem is not being sure till so close.

You may get a split reservation, that may not be a bad thing, some people do that on purpose to experience two different resorts.

Its all speculation now, let us know at 9:15 monday after you get off the phone with MS.

I changed and rebooked ressies at OKW last week for the end of May/first part of June. I didn't have any problems.
