Availability in early December - 3 months out??

It is possible that we might be going to WDW in December but wouldn't know for sure until Septermber so wouldn't be able to book anything until then.

What do you think availability for a studio would be at any of the resorts?

Early December is getting harder and harder to reserve. I am not even sure it would be available today. Unless you have to borrow points, you may want to go ahead and reserve a room, or possibly get on a waitlist.

From what you said in your other post Kaylee (about December being your use year and having already banked your December 2003 points) this puts you in a good position because even if you book now and have to cancel, the points remain in your 2004 use year and can be used right through until end of November 2005. (So long as you cancel at least 31 days before your arrival date).

You have nothing to lose by booking now.

I think availability for anything at DVC in early December is slim, but you wont know until you try. Why not book and if you need to cancel in September, you can still bank those points.

I've been waitlisted for a studio at BWV for about a month, but earlier this week I grabbed one at OKW as a backup, so there was availability. No other studios were available, though. Good luck!

ETA: FYI, My dates are Dec. 5 - 11.

So say I book January then with banked points from 2003 and some currect points from 2004. Then say we decide to change that reservation to October. That would be OK using those points - I wouldn't loose them at all??

Oh Kaylee I do travel for a fee What you are suggesting - the January option - with your December use year should be just fine (but you've got me questioning myself now )

I would give MS a ring on the freephone number we have from the UK and find out about December first of all. You may be lucky - and if not, people cancel all the time and each time I have waitlisted, I have got it.

Then I suggest you check with MS to reassure yourself that if you should need to cancel, and rebook for October 2005, you will be able to do so without penalty. I would have the key words written down because there's English-English and American-English - but that's just me being cautious

Incidentally, I see you like the Boardwalk - well I had to change my plans at short notice recently and couldn't get OKW - only the Boardwalk was available, so you never know

Thanks Moira for your advice. I am just panicing now as ideally I want to go next October, but if I can't go then I don't want to miss out and not go at all.

DH has switched off listening to me at the moment LOL.

I just cancelled a studio at BWV (Dec.3-5), because we wanted to try VWL. I was shocked that it was available...but, it was!!! So, you never know!!
