Availability in August

Up until now we have had the luxury of travelling whenever we have wanted to because our daughter was not yet full time in school,so we have often travelled in Sept, Oct or even Jan and have never had a problem with availability. Now however we will be restricted to going in the main summer hols which is basically late july to early august. we currently have points at VWL but anticipate adding on. (once in the one bedroom the studio somehow loses its appeal!) So what is the availablity like in August / late July. Of course we can use the 11 month window at VWl but the lesser points total at OKW means that that would be attractive but obviously we could only book 7 months out. Given that our son is only 6 months old there will be no homecoming til 2006! but just wondered in advance what problems we might have. Next year we may be with my brother and his kids so it will likely be a 2 bed but would appreciate everybodys experiences in the past. Thanks as always. Nigel

We have SSR points, and we had no problems booking 3 units (2BR and 2 Studios) for an August'05 trip to BCV at the 7 month mark. We also had no problem getting a VWL 1BR at the 7 month mark for this past December.

We genearlly book our vacations for the second or third week in August, either it be a cruise or a stay at WDW, so far, we haven't had any problems getting the accommodations we wanted.

We own at OKW, but stayed at SSR last summer and had little problem with booking it. Depending on when your youngster returns to school, mid to late August might be easier to book as school districts begin returning on varying dates beginning at that time. We stayed the second week and it was not a problem.
