Autopia Winners

I was just wondering. After all these years I never knew until a recent trip that the dumb little licence you get at AUTOPIA may be a winner of a prize. My nephew noticed the sign about checking them and as I turmed mine over it said "WINNER" It was for a little Chevron Autopia Car, The kind you get at the Chevron Station.

How may others have won something from them?

You know, now I know why. I saw on a previous trip the castmember who was handing them out, going through them and pulled a couple out and handed it to someone that was standing nearby.

Thanks for the tip. My son loves these cars. My husband even bought me the Disney ones (from the Autopia ride) for Christmas last year with a plastic map/track of the ride for them. Too cute!

I have a sweet story that involves those little cars..........

Last nov. we were at DL for my son's 4th birthday. He had his birthday sticker on all day and not one single cm wished him a Happy Birthday!(more to the story esp. the birthday buckets but anyways)At like 8pm that night after a ton of problems we were in line for Autopia(he'd been dying to ride it)well the CM handing you the little licenses said Happy Birthday Shawn, I told the cm "thank you so much you are the first to wish him a Happy Birthday" We rode the ride and Shawn had a blast and when we got off the cm from the line was waiting for us. He handed Shawn a Disneyland bag and said "here Shawn this is for you from Disneyland" Shawn opened it and it was one of those cars! I was so touched I had massive tears welling up in my eyes! First thing I did was march to city hall to compliment the cm! For the rest of the night all the cm's told him Happy Birthday! When I got home I followed my compliment up with an email to Disneyland and Shawn showed EVERYONE his "present from disneyland"

THEN when we went back in April, when we got off the Autopia in true 4 year old fashion he stood there and said "hey where's my present!" LOL
