got the toyota today, and thanks all. Now I have to insure it. In florida, someone i know likes Liberty mutual... wdyt?

PM me if you like, happy to have any advice on best rate possible.

Congrats on the new car. Call all the agencies for pricing, sometimes the difference between one company and another can be a few $100.00 dollars.
Just because you know someone with a good experience or that has a good rate doesn't mean it's the best or cheapest coverage for you. Rates for the same coverage and company can vary from person to person. Call Liberty Mutual but call 2 or 3 others also.

yes, i know. just wanted to do it asap as i need it up and running by MONDAY. YIKES

we've had farmers for about 20 years (used to be AIG).

every few years, i get quotes from a few different insurers, and not once has any other company been able to come close to what we are paying (allstate, geico, liberty mutual, esurance, etc).
geico was especially annoying: i told them that we weren't interested because they were over $400 more, and they started calling almost every other day asking if we were ready to switch to their company. it took the threat of a harrassment suit to finally get them to leave us alone.

unfortunately, there are so many variables with insurance (location, driving record, age of cars, etc) that you really need to make a few calls to find your best rate/coverage.
ggod luck:)

tried doing farmers on line today. somehow they said, unavailable.

i'm in south florida. doesn't farmers cover my area?

Amica is an excellent insurance company. Not the cheapest. But among the best.

Farmers does not sell auto insurance in Florida. They will refer you to 21st Century.
